C.J. Faulkner of Joliet wasn’t sure what to think yesterday when she had a phone message from the Lottery. “I told my Mom the Lottery called me. Do you suppose that means I won?” she asked.

Turns out Faulkner was the winner of Monday’s Second Chance drawing in the Lottery’s World Poker Tour® game. “I can’t believe it,” she said. “I entered a few tickets, but every time I entered one, I said to myself, ‘I’m not going to win.’ I guess I did!” she laughed.

The Second Chance prize in the World Poker Tour® Second Chance drawing was a trip to a Poker Boot Camp, where participants learn how to play poker with pros. But C.J. decided to take the cash instead. $11,500 is the cash value of the trip. “The cash is a better choice for me right now,” she said. She is a full-time student, holds a full-time job, and is the mother of a two-year-old.

World Poker Tour® had two trips to Boot Camp in the game itself, plus one trip offered as a Second Chance drawing prize. In addition, there is a $50,000 cash prize. So far, only one trip besides the Second Chance prize has been claimed. “There is another trip out there, plus a $50,000 prize,” explained George Parisot, Montana Lottery director. “World Poker Tour® is still an active game, and it’s worth continuing to play even though the Second Chance prize was won.”
