A very excited Verna Landon of Kalispell presented a Wild Card ticket worth $5,000 at Lottery Headquarters today. Landon bought her winning ticket at the Zip Trip located at 305 East Idaho in Kalispell for Wednesday’s drawing.

Verna said she doesn’t play all the time, and was “so surprised” to hear her ticket won $5,000. “We came to Helena pretty fast,” she said. “We heard it might snow next week so we wanted to get the money.” Verna’s youngest daughter accompanied her mother to Helena today.

Landon is a very spry senior citizen, and said the money is going to be put to good use, helping out with some expenses. “I always buy my gas at this store, and they’re going to be excited when I tell them I won!” she said.
