What is Megaplier?

Megaplier is an optional way to increase your Mega Millions winnings.
|
You can multiply your winnings up to four times!
|
For an additional $1 per play, you can multiply your non-jackpot Mega Millions winnings up to four times the original amount of the prize. All eligible prizes can be multiplied two, three, or four times. You could win up to $1 million by adding Megaplier to your Mega Millions ticket!

Here's how it works
|
Before the Tuesday and Friday night Mega Millions drawings, a Megaplier number between 2 and 4 is randomly selected. If you added Megaplier to your ticket and win a prize from the drawing for which it is valid, you’ve just multiplied your prize by the number selected before the drawing.

Example
|
Let’s say you purchased a $1 Mega Millions ticket and added Megaplier for another $1. If you win a $150 prize and the randomly selected Megaplier number is 3, you’ve actually won $450! So try Mega Millions with Megaplier for a chance at a bigger prize!

A brochure about MegaMillions with Megaplier distributed to Montana Lottery retailers listed the wrong prizes and odds for two of the nine ways to win a prize. The correct prize for matching three white balls is $7, with odds of 1:306. The correct prize for matching two white balls plus the MegaBall is $10, with odds of 1:844. We apologize for the error.
