Jim Palagi, Hal Hugg, Mike Kholes and Tom Hugg of Great Falls have claimed a $2,506 "$hake a Day" jackpot with a ticket purchased at Cripple Creek Casino/Longhorn Lounge, located at 801 Smelter Ave. NE in Great Falls.

Jim, Hal and Mike traveled to Helena to claim their prize. Mike noted that the four friends have made playing $hake a Day a Tuesday-night tradition, and Jim added that they've won $50 prizes a few times, but this is their first major win. They were all together when the machine lit up and began to make noises indicating that their ticket was a winner. Hal said, "The win was fun. We were excited!" They were so excited, in fact, that they bought the entire casino a round of drinks.

Jim, Hal, Mike and Tom split their winnings evenly, and they do not have any immediate plans for their prize money.

The "$hake a Day" jackpot starts at $500 and increases with each ticket sold until it is won.

HELENA – Clifford and Sharon Champeau of Butte claimed a $60,000 Montana Cash jackpot Monday with a ticket purchased at RD's Party Shop located at 848 West Park Street in Butte.

Sharon and Clifford have been playing Montana Cash for years, but have "never really won anything besides a buck or two." Clifford said, "I was sleeping in the chair, and she came in and said, ‘Check these numbers for me.'" After confirming the winning numbers, Sharon said, "It took a long time for it to sink in, and we still don't believe it. It is very exciting."

Sharon called her son that morning, and he said, "She left me a message saying I've got really, really good news, and we haven't had much good news lately. I know she always checks her numbers Sunday morning, so I had a good speculation they hit something. They deserve it. It couldn't have happened to nicer people." Sharon, Clifford, and their son traveled to Helena Monday to claim the jackpot win.

Concerning their winnings, Sharon stated, "It just came at a good, opportune time. We are very blessed, thankful and grateful."

The Montana Cash jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is $20,000.
