HELENA – The Montana Lottery has awarded its largest progressive jackpot ever to Kris Bakke of Helena. He won $21,169 playing our EZPLAY® game MT Slots at The Glass Slipper Lounge & Grocery on 5720 Canyon Ferry Rd in East Helena.

Kris has played EZPLAY® games many times, always choosing his game based on the size of the progressive jackpot. This is not Kris' first EZPLAY® win, having won a sizable Shake-A-Day prize a while back. As an experienced EZPLAY® winner, Kris has some advice for others, and that's to share the wealth with your bartender and wait staff where you play.

Kris has got a list of what he's going to do with his winnings, starting with a party. Kris plans to put the finishing touches on the living room, get his son into Driver's Ed, and then get him a truck.

The Montana Lottery was created by referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $497 million in prizes and returned approximately $224 million to the State of Montana.

The Montana Lottery's ninth year of Montana Millionaire is back on November 1!

Featuring Montana's best odds of winning $1 million, Montana Millionaire tickets are limited to 135,000 and only available until December 31, or until they're gone, whichever comes first. Last year's game sold out for the third year in a row, before the deadline, and Jeff Fallang of East Helena became the state's newest millionaire.

Every ticket purchased could win the $1 million grand prize, one of two $100,000 prizes, or one of three $10,000 prizes.

Players who buy their tickets early will be eligible to win up to two additional $10,000 drawings, the November 27 Early Bird Drawing and the December 18 Pre-Millionaire Drawing. Winners of these drawings are still eligible to win the grand prize of $1 million!

Finally, $50 and $500 instant-win prizes will be awarded randomly throughout the game.

There are over $1.55 million in total prizes up for grabs in the ninth year of Montana Millionaire!

Montana Millionaire tickets may be purchased from any Lottery retailer. Tickets cost $20 each. Tickets can also be purchased via QR Code on select Lottery machines throughout the state or by players using e-Playslip on their mobile devices, which they present in-store. When a player presents a QR Code from their device, simply scan it at the terminal and a ticket will be generated automatically!

For more information about Montana's exclusive seasonal raffle game, including a list of where instant-win tickets are being sold, visit montanalottery.com/montanamillionaire. Winning numbers for the early and final drawings will be posted on the drawing day.

The Montana Lottery has been notified of a new Facebook scam involving Mega Millions that is appearing across the country. Again, the Facebook post uses a realistic-looking Mega Millions message offering a $640 Million on-line jackpot for those who click. This is a scam. We hope these URLs will be removed rapidly, but until that time, if you receive a Mega Millions Facebook post, do not respond, reply, share or re-post. The Montana Lottery again strongly suggests if you receive a Mega Millions Facebook post that you immediately delete it.
