Since 1992, Powerball has inspired the country with a chance to become a millionaire. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Powerball jackpot grows until it is won.

Power Play: Power Play is included with every Powerball purchase in Montana! Power Play doubles the Match 5 prize from $1 million to $2 million and increases other prizes according to the Prized and Odds Tab. The Power Play number will be drawn separately but simultaneously as the winning numbers for every draw.

Double Play: We know our players love to win, so we also offer Double Play as the add-on option in Montana. Double Play is an exciting addition. For just an additional $1.00 per play, players will be entered in a separate drawing with a top cash prize of $10 million.

  • The Double Play drawing will be held after every Powerball drawing on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
  • Players will play the same set of numbers in both the main Powerball drawing and Double Play drawing, and Powerball tickets that include the Double Play feature will be eligible to win prizes in both drawings.
  • Players can include both the Power Play and Double Play features on their Powerball ticket, however, the Power Play multiplier does not apply to prizes won in the Double Play drawing.
  • Double Play and Powerball both have winning numbers drawn from the same two pools of numbers: five numbers are drawn from the first pool of numbers 1-69, and one Powerball number is drawn from a pool of 1-26.

Drawing Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 8:59 p.m. mountain time. You have until 8:00 p.m. on draw days to purchase your Powerball tickets.

Multiple Draws: You may play the same set of numbers for up to 24 consecutive drawings.

How to Play

Play slips are available at Montana Lottery sales agents. Fill out the play slip. Give your completed play slip to the Montana Lottery sales agent. They will enter your chosen numbers and provide you with a ticket.

Select Quick Pick to generate your numbers randomly, OR go to Step 2 to select your numbers.

Select 5 numbers between 1 and 69 and a Powerball number between 1 and 26.

For an extra $1 per play, add Double Play for a separate drawing with a $10 million top prize.

Select Multi Draw (optional) if you would like to play the same numbers for more than one drawing, you can choose 2 to 24 consecutive drawings.

Repeat number selection for up to 5 plays. Each play costs $3.

To purchase a Powerball with Power Play ticket at a Treasure Play terminal:

Select the red “LOTTO GAMES” button.

Insert the exact amount of cash for your purchase. This machine does not give change.

Press the “Buy” button on the game screen when complete.
